VBS 2009 - Kingdom of the Son

Last week, we attended our church's annual bible school. This was Tyler's first year as a participant and my first as a lead teacher. Lucas spent his second year in the nursery "class". We started the week with me as Tyler's teacher, but oddly enough, that did not work out so well. So, Ms. Janet was gracious enough to take him the remainder of the week, and that worked out better. Because I was teacher a 3-year old class too, I was in the same rotation as Tyler, so I did get to see him playing and enjoying himself during recreation, snack and music. I think he had a lot of fun. Even though it seemed at times that he wasn't paying ANY attention at all, he did break out into song a few times here at the house...or has picked up singing a verse where I have left off, so I know it made some impact on him.

SNACK -- that is how you get this always on the go, ball full of energy to slow down. But...watch out, if you're not quick, he'll eat your snack, too!!
These are his buddies from the week. The little girl was trying hard to keep him standing on the stage. It didn't work!!
Our fun, loving, crazy, free-spirited little boy has hit three years old and is now VERY stubborn strong-willed, to say the least. Hmm, I suppose this should have been expected, considering his mommy and daddy. But, since we had had such an easy three years with him, I kind of was not expecting this. Oh well, if having a strong-willed child is the worst :)

Here is a short (short because this is the longest period of time he was in place the entire program) video of him "dancing" in the program.
